The best music marketing books will teach you this about expanding a fanbase: “Word of mouth” is the easiest way to promote yourself. Five persons will tell people about this hot artist they love. Then these five new people will spread the word to another five. Each of these 25 new people will then talk about it to another five each, etc…  Which makes it 155. Before you know it, you got millions of people checking out on that new hot artist. Everybody then jump on the bandwagon and you get a trend. This was a quote from this book called “Music business secrets, Not an easy husle” by Pimp LaQuiqui Jr. (RIP LaQuiQui you will be missed)

We are about 2 weeks away from this album we’ve all been waiting for patiently for 3 years. It is time You/LeToya fan converts as many people as you can into new fans of Miss LeToya Muthafuckin’ Luckett.

I am offering you a tool right here right now which will greatly help you in your task. This useful prop is a performance she did about a year ago. When watching it, there is absolutely no excuse to not fall in love with her and turn into one of her fans. If you’re don’t, you must either be blind, deaf or retarded.  Forward it to as many people as you can… and make sure they watch it.

This performance is just awesome and showcases her swag and her amazing personality. Watch her spreadin’ dem legs and workin’ that ass! Walking in the grass, singing to the camera. Singing “Love”. The whole thing is just fantastic!  (And yes I put part 2 before part 1 cause I like it better!)

Hopefully by watching this people will stop sleeping on her. We need to get this album to #1 with a strong first week sale. (personal note to LeToya: tell TR to hurry up I’m still waiting for my last week’s check for the promo, wussup with capitol!)

LeToya performed a different version of Torn in Cleveland at the Russ Parr Bus Tour. (She comes out at around 0.59 in this video). And I actually like it. She looked great as usual. The crowd was very urban so that’s why she sang that version I guess. Other artists there were Ace Hood, New Boyz and all these new rappers I don’t really care for but that kids seem to love. Mario was there too.

She will be part of the Russ Parr’s tour tomorrow morning in DC.

LeToya performed at BB Kings Blues in New York for Power Live. This event is organized by the urban radio Power 105.1.

She looked amazing and did a great job. I am loving her confidence. She also sang that infamous bridge of “Regret” so this will be your first time hearing it.

Well we might have to take back what we said about Slim Thug talking shit on Toya. At the end of the “Regret” performance she did in Dallas she says, “and I know ya’ll know who I’m talking about”. Lol It can’t be Casey twin from Jagged Edge or Romeo from IMx because nobody really know that she was in a relationship with those guys. It must be Slim. So that’s probably why he reacted the way he did.
Anyway, regarding the performance itself. She did a great job. LMAO at her cutting the show when she realized her mic was off. She told the sound man to get his shit together. Toya is a straight G lol. It took him a long ass time to get the point though.

This crowd was feeling “Regret” but surprisingly comparing to other cities they weren’t getting crazy on “She Aint Got”. The thing is that Houston is still big on “Not Anymore” so their radios are not playing “She Ain’t Got” yet and plus it was a hip-hop crowd. So SAG might be to pop for them.

LeToya had a busy day yesterday. First daytime she was in Houston to perform at the HIV Concert in front of 15,000 people. Then she had to fly all the way to San Francisco where she had to perform at J. Valentine’s B-day. That’s how it goes when you’re a star.
Anyway who better than someone who was actually there can give us a review? @mikediddy was at the SF event and did a good job reporting it so here is his review. (Follow him on twitter):

LeToya came out first. She looked real good, and sounded amazing. She’s definitely grown vocally and she’s very confident in her shows now and you can tell. I’m proud of her. She only performed 3 songs: Not Anymore, Regret (acapella) and Torn. I was hoping for SAG but no. She killed all three songs tho. Here are my video clips below. Sorry about the sound. I was right in front and the bass was soo loud. And I forgot my camera at home so I had to use my iPhone to record the videos. I didn’t take any pics either. You don’t need pics if you’re watching video anyway, lol.

Tank was next and he came out and shut it down (with his background singers as well, whoohoo!). R&B is really needing him right now. He put on a hot ass show and had all the ladies moist. I can’t wait for his next CD.

Tank then brought out Omarion and even tho O didn’t sing, he did his very own tribute to Michael Jackson. Tank mentioned something like “I’m upset at BET for not letting O perform at the awards, so he’s gonna perform now” So O did his MJ thang and was good. I don’t think he even took the mic. He just came up, took off a few shirts and started dancing. He definitely looks nice with his haircut.

Yeah Toya did a great job. I love how comfortable she is now and how she has grown vocally. At the same time I think she always had nice vocals.

That Regret acapella was niiiice. She straight murdered it! Even though I rather when she sings it soft like in the CD.  She had that same issue with “She Don’t” when people were saying she sounded like Barry White live.  Her and Aaliyah both have that problem. The thing is when performers have to sing soft live they tend to believe that the audience won’t hear them. What I’m saying is get with the audio dude at soundcheck and tell him to boost your mic up when you perform that song.

And come On Toya! Why the hell didn’t she perform ‘She Ain’t Got Shit On Me”?  I mean her album is supposed to be released in about 40 days so she need to promote the hell out of it. Not only that but we know some people went to see her live just for that song. Plus we know how the crowd gets excited whenever she performs it.

Also lately she has been fucking up this part in Torn’s bridge when she’s like “You got me so Torn OH YEEAAHHHHHH” That “Oh yeah” is just not the business at all. She reminds me of Nicole of the PCD when right before the dance break she’s like “…and i know you want it AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH”. I’m like bitch shut up my ears hurting! That note is SO WRONG. So my point is both of them repeat that same mistake over and over again without anyone correcting them. Toya sweetheart go watch your performance of Torn you did for Yahoo Music. That overall performance was not as good as what you’re delivering now but the run for “OH YEAAAH” was PERFECT!  (Not right after that though lol).
