LETOYA CLEARS UP MATT KEMP DATING RUMORS

It feels like just yesterday when LeToya Luckett, along with LaTavia Roberson, split Destiny’s Child. In the ten years since, she’s emerged as a solo artist, boutique owner, and now actress with roles in Preacher’s Kid (out on DVD) and the upcoming feature film Killers with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. In between movies and albums, her love life also took a torrid turn when her alleged boyfriend, Matt Kemp, reportedly dissed her for Rihanna. There’s no better way to address these rumors than with her debut column for Honey.
LeToya speaks on her latest projects, the Matt situation, and the break-up with Destiny’s Child:
There was a time after Destiny’s Child broke up, when I was out of the spotlight. I was trying to figure out what to do. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do music again — be in a group or go solo. Actually, the thought of going solo was very scary to me. I didn’t think I could do it and would get mad when people told me I should record an album by myself.
I wasn’t upset about losing a chance to go to the Grammy’s or any celebrity perks. It was the loss of the friendship that was difficult. That was the hardest part of the separation. These girls [Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson] were my friends from elementary school. We went to church together, we hung out together.

OK so we know LeToya has been “chilling” with someone. That someone happens to be LA Dodgers Mr Matt Kemp. Rumors has been spreading lately about Rihanna messing around with him for the past week or so. If I was her I wouldn’t try to mess with someone that sings “She Ain’t Got Shit On Me” … She’s playing with her life big time and risks to be hit again.
