CHICAGO — The fresh, new face of Luster’s Pink Brand Smooth Touch, Grammy®-winning singer-songwriter and actress LeToya Luckett, will appear as a guest on BET’s “106 & Park” on Friday, September 24.
Luckett will discuss endorsing the Smooth Touch brand, a line of relaxers and styling products for girls and women ages 16 to 24 who have an urban, Hip Hop mindset and want hair that attracts attention no matter the occasion. Luckett will also discuss her upcoming music and film projects.
“Ever since the Smooth Touch launch party [in New York] this July, my friends and fans have been showing me so much love on Twitter, at events and everywhere I go. And they’ve been asking how to use Smooth Touch to do their hair whether it’s natural or relaxed. I’m excited to be appearing on “106 & Park,” so that I can to tell everyone, ‘Thank you!’” said Luckett.
Luckett can be seen in the Smooth Touch brand’s first television commercial, “Star Studded,” which debuted on BET during its 2010 pre-Awards broadcast in June. The spot captures the transformation of a woman’s hair from ordinary to star-studded using Smooth Touch and positions Luster Products as a progressive, relevant hair care company. The commercial was produced by Atlanta-based Matlock agency, Luster Products’ advertising agency of record.
In addition to the “Star Studded” spot, which can be seen currently during broadcasts of “106 & Park,” Luckett is featured in Smooth Touch national print, digital and out-of-home advertising. She will make her first retail appearance on Saturday, October 9, at the Houston Galleria in Houston, Texas, at the Smooth Touch Hair and Homecoming Mall Takeover.
As part of Luckett’s appearance on “106 & Park,” audience members will receive exclusive Smooth Touch swag bags containing free products and premiums, complements of Luster Products and the Smooth Touch brand.
