ROCK IT JUST LIKE LETOYA: “KILLERS” PREMIERE MAKEUP

Singer and actress LeToya Luckett looked absolutely stunning while at the premiere for Killers, her newest film. I’m not surprised that her makeup is yet again on point because Miss Luckett’s face stays beat to the gods. If you want to steal her look, I’ve broken it down.

You ready?

Let’s go.

1. Skin. As always, beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin. Be sure to cleanse, tone, and moisturize your face according to your skin type. If it’s been some time since you last exfoliated, crack open some St. Ives Apricot Scrub or LUSH Angels on Bare Skin /strong> to rid the skin of shine-stealing dead skin cells.

2. Eyes. Since this look is using some dark pigments on the eyes, let’s do them first to save time. This way if you get some eyeshadow fallout, you won’t have to redo your foundation. Apply a base like Urban Decay Primer Potion all over the eyes. Apply a matte black eyeshadow on the lid only (try Make Up For Ever Aqua Black). Then apply a shimmery steel blue eyeshadow on top of the black (layering eyeshadows helps to intensify the color as well as prolong its staying power). Try MAC Eyeshadow in Contrast. Using that same steel blue shadow, take a pencil brush (like MAC 219) and line the eyes extending the beyond the outer corners of the eyes. Use the edge of a business card to guide you if need be. Apply a brow highlight on the brow bone. You can use an eyeshadow 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone or try a cream concealer 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone for a more structured and polished look. Line eyes with a black pencil like Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in Mat Black. Take the pencil brush (with the steel blue shadow) and line the bottom lash line as well. Add 2-3 coats of mascara.

3. Face. Apply your foundation and set with powder. A look like this needs makeup that packs a punch but doesn’t make your skin look fake and obvious. Try Make Up For Ever HD Foundation with Make Up For Ever HD Finishing Powder. Apply a peachy-pink blush to the checks (like NARS Orgasm Blush). For a more sunkissed glow, apply bronzer first and then your blush.

4. Lips and Set. Apply a neutral pink with slight shimmer gloss like MAC Viva Glam V. Spray your face with a few spritzes of Urban Decay De Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray to help your makeup last throughout the day.
