Yesterday we posted the LeToya report KIAH-TV (Houston local TV) had in their news. This time we’re posting the interview she gave them…
Singer LeToya Luckett is loving her latest lyrics. Her second solo album, “Lady Love,” was released Tuesday.
“I wanted to try something new for this album, step out of the box,” said Luckett. “Do something different from the last LeToya album, but still find those R&B soul, groovy hits on this album.”
LeToya collaborated with a couple of hot artists on her new album, including rapper Ludacris.
“He totally blessed the track and he’s a great person to work with, he’s so professional,” said Luckett.
LeToya also got a new look for this album. Her styling help came from the same stylist who works on the Sex and the City franchise.
“I think with the last album, I was so comfortable with my long hair, always wearing black, always wearing pants, so with this album, it was like try something different,” said Luckett. “The short skirt, cut the hair, do whatever.”
“I know at the end of the day, I gave it everything I had,” said Luckett. “I worked my butt off, I promoted. I have a great team behind me and I hope the fans love it. That’s all I can ask for.”
LeToya has more in the works than just music. This October, she’ll star in the film “Preacher’s Kid.” It opens October 10. In 2010, she’s slated to star opposite Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl in “Five Killers.”
