LeToya performed at BB Kings Blues in New York for Power Live. This event is organized by the urban radio Power 105.1.

She looked amazing and did a great job. I am loving her confidence. She also sang that infamous bridge of “Regret” so this will be your first time hearing it.

Now I think she can still get better when it comes to stage presence and vocal control. I’ve mentioned this before but yes she keeps doing it. That “oh yeaaah” part in Torn is just sooo wrong to my ears. Don’t get me wrong. She’s done a lot of progress already but there is room for improvement.

You know what. I woudn’t even have realized that if it wasn’t for the amazing Ryan Leslie’s performance. Cause yeah. that’s the word AMAZING. I am not even a fan of him like that. + he ain’t even cute. He’s so skinny and too much nerdy to my tastes. But yes He impressed me. I gotta give credit where it’s due. I dont even know his songs but that good energy he had made me understand that Toya isn’t there yet. I – and people around me- weren’t “impressed” by LeToya. You can just say that by how loud people are applauding. And trust me people were cheering for Ryan Leslie like Obama was in the building. And it’s not about vocals. Ryan Leslie isn’t a vocalist. He doesn’t do crazy rifs or anything special with his voice but he spreads out that special energy just by his presence and smile.

She was great but something is still missing and she needs to find what it is. She watched his performance and I hope she learned from him. No worries LeToya when you read this. It’s just a matter of little tweaks here and there. You got strong foundations already and once you get these little techniques down you’ll slay him. At the level that you are right now You’re aready slaying all the other bitches in this business – besides – you know who.

Also I am mad as hell that she didn’t perform “She Ain’t Got”. If i had payed for this I’d been really pissed. I mean how you gone do a show and not even perform your current single. I know baby you like “Regret” and yadda yadda but common sweety you just premiered the song on BET and I see all these people loving it. So what the hell is going on with you? You gotta promote the hell outta this shit. Are you giving up already? Are you scared of something? You’re confusing your fans. If you think the song was too pop for that crowd you had a band right there that couldve made it sound more Urban/R&Bish. I would’ve loved to see that guitar dude in the back starting the song tatatatatatata tatatatatatata tatatatatatata tatatatatatata swing batta batta batta. That would’ve been crazy. But to my disapointment you rather kept it safe.

Now I don’t know who I shoud be mad at for this but how is LeToya allowed to perform only 3 songs and Ryan Leslie like 8 and Life Jennings maybe like 7.  I mean WHO is a platinum artist? who has a #1 album? who was part of  the best selling female group of all time? Not these two dudes. They are far from it. I mean what the helll! And don’t tell me it’s because of timing restrictions cause there were lots of waiting time with the DJ playing music. Hell even that upcoming new London artist in the beginning had a longer time on stage. And if it’s really about timing then cut PYT. Who cares about PYT seriously. We came to see Letoya Luckett. not these 2 background dancers dancing on PYT. I wouldn’t mind that on a full lengh concert but common not on a 15 min performance.

Anyway besides all that I had a really good time. It was a great show and there were lots of sexy people in the building.
