LeToya ain’t no damn scared of ol’ Mariah Carey!

All her fans (including me) were still wishing that she wouldve pushed up/pushed back her album’s release date. That could’ve garantee her a consecutive #1 album in the country. But now that she’s been confirming August 25 everywhere (including to major medias like Reuters; video below) we can almost say that she’ll stick to this date. I’m still praying that she won’t. Or that Mariah will change hers (which I doubt). I mean nobody big is releasing something august 18 or even 11.
Well I say everything happen for a reason and if she gotta be that chick who topped the legendary Mariah Carey then let it be it. She would get so much respect if she accomplishes that. You might be laughin as I’m saying this but you never know what God has planned for us. She’s been fighting for the longest and I’m sure she will be rewarded for it. Life can’t be that much unfair. Imagine if she were to beat Mariah. I’m wondering what people would say. Especially haters like Hot 97. Can’t stand this radio btw. They only work with payola and have their little favorites. I live in New York and I rather listen to Power 105.1.
Anyway competition wasn’t easy her first time around as she earned a #1 album against that famous compilation “Now 21″ AND superproducer Pharrel Williams who was a MTV favorite.

Wither it’s another #1 album, good sales landing in top 5, another movie role, etc. IMO this paragraph just demonstrates LeToya’s success and how inspirational she is to me. And something else kinda OT. It implements that today will be a great day

People don’t listen to Mariah like they use too in the 90’s and 2005. She has lost her voice and her hunger for the music. Its like shes only releasing this album just to get more hits than The Beatles, which might or might not happen. But If it does she still won’t be remember for the song it just be “Oh Mariah has this many hits over The Beatles”. The songs shes making today won’t be remember in 2013 because its not rememberable and it plain and simple sucks! Toya has a chance of gaining a new audience within the pop community and getting all the urban fans too. She can because u can never say never, because God probably does has something special for this era. I just feel Mariah and her folks are greedy. . .She needs to do some soul searching because I already know what her album will consist of, the exact sh*t that was on the last one.

Hell no Mariah hasn’t lost her voice. Did you hear her performance for her cover with Trey Lorenz for I’ll Be There at MJ’s memorial service. Not great but mos def coulda been if she wasn’t on the verge of crying. She hasn’t lost her voice but I just don’t why she performs so sucky these days. But I agree, that’s why there’s hope LeToya wil beat out Mariah for the top spot. Bc Obsessed isn’t that memorable compared to her other hits.
LeToya’s singles woulda blown up by now if it weren’t for the politics, Beyonceist, etc. That’s why I’m telling y’all NA is a good 1st single, y’all just keep forgetting why it’s not doing what it’s suppose to be doing. And really SAG ani’t doin much either.

@SEN Uh no sir. Mariah officially lost her voice that day she performed on Good Morning America. She hasn’t been able to sing LIVE since. Plus that performance didn’t seem heartfelt it just seemed like she was there for the promo for her album. She probably hasn’t speaken to Micheal in years! Because everybody else including Usher had tears coming but still gave their very BEST. Mariah just can’t do it anymore. Her voice is about the same as your Kat Deluna’s and Cassie’s. Especially If you depend on a backing track!

Im so happy that she is sticking to her date! I am one of her #1 fans and if i were in her shoes i would do the same thing. She has what it takes, she is definately creating her own buzz and has shown so much growth proving all the haters wrong and turning heads. Even my sister said she didnt even know who that was singing Not Anymore she likes her voice betta than Beyonce.
